Fabulously colorful Art Deco Amphora Ceramic lamp, original the vase was hand made in Czechoslovakia in the 1920s, confirmed by the stamp to the base.
Highly collectible and desirable for its high levels of craftsmanship. The pottery has incised and raised polychrome decoration of birds and stylized flowers on a background of cream gnat and displays a very high level of craftsmanship. It has been fitted with a matching gold twisted cord and with brass fittings.
I would suggest a 30cm in diameter lampshade for this base, with a BC B22 LED bulb. The orange spotted lampshade in the image is a POOKY shade, shown for images only and not sold with the lamp.
Please be aware that as this is a vintage piece, the base has some minor age-related signs of wear such as fine surface scratches and marks, however we believe this just adds to the character!
